Art project: Little things matter | Valentina Grisales
Little things matter, is a search for a language that reflects a slower, more sincere vision of the world—a play of appearances and disappearances that evokes metaphorical action, where the chair is one form yet also another, depending on the point of reference from which it’s viewed.
It is a a dialogue between obsessive repetition and the creation of objects. Here, the object is the poem, language is the assisted element, and metaphor is stretched to reveal what has been forgotten.
It asks how and when the 'chair' can, in essence, remain itself while transforming into something entirely new—a different body. The result is a dark and warm shadow cast over time, evoking what fades from memory.
A response to why, for what purpose, and at what moment that temporary yet real shadow vanishes.
